The Host by: Stephanie Meyer
Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemu. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds are taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.
One of the few “Wild” humans is captured and Wanderer has been given her body. But Wanderer doesn’t expect the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories, the power of love when the former tenant of her body refuses to let go of her mind. What happens to Wanderer as she becomes human? A very interesting read.

The Book Thief
It’s just a small story. Narrated by Death, set in Nazi Germany, it’s the story of 9 year old Liesel Meminger. Death watches as she steals the first of 14 books at her brother’s funeral. Death takes no pride in being part of man’s deadly cruelty to man. He watches Liesel scratch a meager existence for herself and feed her soul with words.
An incredible young adult novel about how a young girl’s love of books helps a community survive Nazi Germany, WW II, and the Holocaust.
